University of Applied Sciences - Hochschule Emden/Leer

The Emden/Leer University of Applied Sciences is spread over two locations and is made up of a total of four departments: The main campus in Emden teaches and conducts research in the fields of technology, social work and health and economics. The campus of the department of Maritime Sciences is located in Leer. A total of 4,600 students, more than 100 professors and about 300 employees contribute to the lively community.

Research

Three research priorities were selected from the broad range of engineering, maritime and social science departments: "Sustainable Technologies - NaTe", " Resource Orientation in the Tension of the Individual and Society - ROTIS" and "Industrial Inforamtics and Automation - IIA" and included in the HRK Research Map in 2013.

EU-Strategy - University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer

The project HSEL-H2020 applies three actions to improve success and strengthen the presence of the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer within the European Research Area: by establishing a dynamic proposal support tool for researchers, by implementing an international research strategy for the university and by introducing a talent management program to ensure the long term benefit of the measures.
