F€URO2022

The research strength of the OTH Regensburg is to be expanded by an EU research strategy. This will increase the visibility of the university at EU level and EU funding volumes. At the same time, the role as a research partner is being expanded.

Initial situation

OTH Regensburg has been systematically expanding its internationalization activities for several years, as well as its research activities at national and international level. At present, there are currently 203 partnerships with foreign universities worldwide, of which 126 are partnerships with universities in the EU, which are also used for the initiation and implementation of international research activities.

Currently running EU projects with the participation of OTH Regensburg (1 H2020 / 4 ERDF projects: € 1.7 million); already completed: 3 FP7 and 2 ERDF projects (€ 4.3 million funding); Application phase: 25 H2020 and one ERDF project.
Projects at EU level are becoming increasingly important. For this reason, EU projects of the research quorum at the OTH Regensburg have recently been accompanied by an EU research officer at the IAFW.

Intensify EU research collaborations with strategic partner institutions and companies to develop competencies for all partners.

Bundling of EU research activities within OTH Regensburg and assigning a clear responsibility to an integrating function for international research management and research researcher support Strategic EU partnerships.
